Hourly and Per-word Rates
Our hourly rate for a comprehensive editing service is £40/hour (GBP).
For authors who prefer to receive a per-word quote, the equivalent cost is £0.04/word or £10/250 words.
For standalone conference abstracts, resumes and small files between 30 and 600 words, a minimum order fee of £30 is applied.
Please note that international payments outside the United Kingdom are subject to a 3.5% bank processing fee, which will be factored in the invoice.
Discounts Offered
A student discount of 10% is provided to all undergraduate and postgraduate students upon confirmation of their ID and institution of affiliation.
Research groups interested in establishing a long-term collaboration with our editing firm for polishing their manuscripts will qualify for our regular client rates. Being a small firm, we can accept a limited number of such 'member' clients. In these cases, the authors are offered a 10% discount on the second paper sent to us for editing and 15% discount on all subsequent papers.
Our pricing is competitive, in line with the expertise and experience of our PhD editors from UK-based Russell Group universities. We can be flexible and match other quotes provided; please enquire.
Ask-A-Question Service
Sometimes, authors may not need a complete editing service but have a specific sentence or two while writing up the manuscript that they wish to re-word for clarification. We are happy to play an advisory role in this respect. Simply email us the sentences you are struggling with and we will advise on any changes for language improvement. This service is free up to a 50-word limit.
Please note that for larger pieces of text, such as paragraphs up to 500 words, the minimum order fee of £30 applies.
Turnaround Times
Following confirmation that you wish to proceed with the edit, for standard manuscripts under 7,000 words, we guarantee that the edited paper will be returned within 7 working days (excluding weekends). The return time for larger manuscripts (7,000+ words) is up to 10 working days, unless otherwise specified. We are a select team and our editors ensure to give each manuscript their full attention.
Faster turnaround times of 5 days and 3 days can be accommodated at higher rates of £13/250 words and £15/250 words, respectively. However, this service may be dependent on how busy our editors are during the time.
